The Birch Canoe is an Indigenous Resources and
Facilitation endeavor created to share Indigenous Arts
and Crafts Workshops and Performances in schools as
well as with Community Organizations and Groups.
We are committed to creating social change by
providing various services based on traditional
Indigenous ways of being and knowing. We believe
this is important because too often, Indigenous people
are placed in society as people of the past, left in past
eras of history and placed into museums. We believe
that this is an avenue where we can instill the
relevancy and modernity of our Indigenous ways into
society while being creative and having fun!
